Although she was an occasional painter, Alice was gifted with keen observation. She was sensitive to nature and paid attention to colour balance and harmony. Her talent for painting diffused into her writing, through her depictions of landscapes and characters. Her brush turned into her pen, unless her pen and her brush became one...

After I’ve drawn to my satisfaction, I am much better at playing Bach. Feeling the need to move from one type of art to another, as if there were ultimately only one, with various modes of expression.
